Thanks. I believe that it it connected, but how do I take it out of "work offline mode"? Sorry I am not a Tech person.

There should be a box in the lower right hand corner that will say offline mode. Are you at home trying to connect remotely to your work email? Mark Morowczynski|MCT| MCSE 2003:Messaging, Security|MCITP:EMA 2K7,EDA Win 7,ES,SA,EA|MCTS:Windows Mobile Admin|Security+|http://almostdailytech.com

There is not a box in the lower right corner of Outlook box when I open it. However I was able to put in my work email address and password, only after several attempts. This allowed me into outlook, but was not able to retrieve any of my work emails, or draft emails using my work account. I can see my email account under mail folders. But when I click on it the following message appears "The set of folders cannot be opened. The C:\users\Shawn Simpson\AppData\local\microsoft\outlook\shawnsimpson_guidestartech.ost is not an offline file". I am trying to set this up remotely from home. Thanks

Hi, "I am trying to set this up remotely from home." Do you set up outlook using VPN or Outlook Anywhere? Which version of Exchange server? Please click the Outlook icon on the right bottom with "Ctrl", choose "Connection Status", what is the "Conn"?Frank Wang
